This is a busy, high-stress time in the recruiting process. The parties can nominate people to fill empty positions. It is truly an all hands on deck situation. Republicans should know that you have an excellent, agile team working on this to maximize our chances of success in November, and beyond.
While there is time, keep talking to people and keep trying. Many people who said “no”, can be swayed once they understand that no one else signed up. Be encouraging. Be supportive. Ask us to help. I closed the deal with one candidate Friday who had said “no” all along. Don’t give up. Don’t quit.
These efforts went on while I was also here fielding issues from Representatives, signing bills, holding Recess Sessions, and the other duties of the office. It has been a full week, and rewarding.
